My father established Floyd’s Crushed Concrete in 1959 which also happened to be the year of my birth. At the time it was the only successful concrete recycler in the state of Michigan. By the age of 12 I began picking off the belt and aiding in other entry level positions. I later became an operator and then upon graduating high school I began managing the entire business with my father. It is not an easy business, but a vital one to the industry and the environment. Over the years the crushed concrete business has helped prevent millions of tons of concrete from going into landfills, transforming it instead into a crucial material widely used in the construction industry. Spending the last 50 years in the business I have met many wonderful people and along with my staff we look forward to meeting and working with many more for years to come!
